Chris Coe is a self-taught photographer who, since turning professional in 1992, has combined his passion for photography with a love of travel. He photographs landscapes, people, wildlife and architecture in a range of formats including 35mm, panoramic and medium format using both film and digital cameras.

His work has been widely published in newspapers, magazines and books and his clients include major multinational companies. Chris has shot over 40 travel and coffee table books. His first book on photography, ‘The Art of Landscape Photography' is widely used as a reference work. Chris lectures on a variety photographic subjects, including travel, landscape and stock photography, at major conferences and events such as Focus on Imaging, Adobe Live and the Daily Telegraph Adventure Show. He has also presented photographic features for TV.

After many years working in the travel industry and seeing at first hand how little recognition is given to many of the very talented photographers who shoot travel related images, Chris decided to set up the Travel Photographer of the Year competition. This competition is now in its fifth year and is rapidly growing into ‘the' major international showcase for travel photography.

Nick Meers has shot over 30 travel books, many architectural and garden locations for the National Trust, and given many workshops and masterclasses in England and the USA . His work has been published in a wide variety of media, and he has written many articles for photographic magazines. He has even experimented with converting his own cameras, including a 6x17cm panoramic film back conversion for his monorail 4"x5" camera, complete with leopardskin-patterned bellows.

A fascination with the panoramic 'letterbox' format has led him from three books shot exclusively in this format to writing his first book, ‘Stretch', on the world of panoramic photography, published in February 2003 by Rotovision. This involved research all across the world to find an interesting variety of panoramic photographs for the book, including interviews with some of the world's finest practitioners of the art.
