Bored with the traditional beach-side summer holiday? Why not improve your photography on a short break in the Alps instead? Based in Chamonix, this intensive international photography course is a great chance to improve your photography and add that WOW factor to your images. On this 7 day trip we'll be mixing the all-important learning elements with shoots, including one all day shoot overnighting in a mountain refuge, and we’ll be there for sunset and sunrise across the peaks.
In early summer the Mont Blanc massif affords amazing photographic opportunities and grand panoramas to tempt both landscape and travel photographers, and this trip will allow you to photograph the highest chain of mountains in Europe, with its imposing peaks and multitude of glaciers. The walks are easy, leaving us plenty of time not only to photograph, but to breathe the pure mountain air and eat hearty picnics while enjoying the wonderful views. We’ll walk in middle mountain terrain, along the slopes of the Mont Blanc massif, between high snows and glaciers and the deep Chamonix valley. Jorge Sanchez, professional mountain guide & photographer, knows this terrain by heart and will lead us safely all the way. The experiences awaiting us during these days are mind-blowing. We’ll take the highest vertical ascent cable car in the world, from 1035m to 3842m, allowing you to photograph of summit of Mont Blanc from a fantastic position. You’ll also enjoy and photograph Mer de Glace, the longest glacier of the French Alps. And you’ll spend an unforgettable night in a mountain hut at 2300m, like a real mountaineer, and capture staggering shots of the Mont Blanc massif at sunset and sunrise.
Course tuition is under the guidance of award-winning professional photographers Nick Meers and Chris Coe, in conjunction with YokmoK Adventures, run by photographer and mountain guide, Jorge Sanchez.
